ODeX reports strong growth in H1 2025, amid global expansion and new product offerings

Premium digital documentation and payments platform ODeX, has reported a strong first half to 2025, with significant growth in customer adoption, global expansion, and new product rollouts aimed at simplifying documentation and payment processes in international trade.

According to the company, H1 2025 saw increased traction across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, driven by a growing demand for digital platforms that improve visibility, reduce documentation delays, and enable faster coordination among stakeholders.

At the core of this growth is a strategic roadmap focused on solving real operational bottlenecks in shipping and trade. From automating freight invoice approvals to digital release orders and integrated payment options, ODeX continues to enhance its suite of services to better serve freight forwarders, shipping lines, port authorities, and cargo owners.

Our dedicated strategic initiatives have positioned ODeX to maintain sustained growth and continuous value delivery to our clients worldwide,” stated Liji Nowal, Founder and CEO of ODeX.

The platform’s rapid adoption was further supported by deepening partnerships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and regional logistics players. These collaborations are enabling smoother cross-platform integrations, supporting the industry’s transition toward standardised, digital-first workflows.

Our goal remains clear: to establish ODeX as the leading global operating system for trade documentation and payment processing,” emphasised Nowal.

During the same period, ODeX was recognised by several industry stakeholders for its contributions to digitalisation in trade. The company has positioned itself not only as a service provider but also as a change enabler, particularly relevant at a time when trade ecosystems are grappling with inefficiencies in documentation, compliance, and visibility.

From an operational leadership standpoint, Binai Thoppil, COO of ODeX, said, “We are deeply committed to continually elevating our operational standards and capabilities as we expand globally.

In terms of technology, the first half of the year also included the launch of upgraded modules focused on streamlining document turnaround time and improving user experience through real-time data access. These enhancements reflect the industry’s increasing appetite for tools that bridge the gap between document generation, verification, release, and payment.

Looking ahead to the second half of 2025, ODeX plans to scale its operations further and extend its offerings to more trade corridors.

As Liji Nowal reiterated, “As we enter the second half of 2025, our priorities remain innovation, global expansion, and creating measurable value for our customers and partners. This remarkable journey has only just begun.

For those across the shipping and freight ecosystem, ODeX’s H1 performance provides a clear signal: the demand for agile, transparent, and interoperable trade platforms is not just growing, it is becoming essential.

At Shipping and Freight Resource, we continue to observe the rise of platforms like ODeX as part of a broader transformation in how trade operates. From reducing manual handoffs to integrating finance and compliance, the future of trade is being built one digital layer at a time.
