Which is your Container Shipping Line of choice..??

Recently I read an article by Grant Rowles about Maritime awards: it’s time the industry woke up..

I am not sure if you share the same impression or sentiments expressed in this article..

But this article got me thinking that, while these awards are given out by the Press and other Maritime bodies, who would YOU as the regular user of the various container shipping lines choose as your Container Shipping Line of choice..?? Particularly in terms of service..

In my opinion, your vote would be the more pertinent one that the shipping lines would value the most..

So let me know in the comments section “Which is the container shipping line of your choice” and why you made that choice..

  1. Sir, I want to know from which line we need acceptance letter for Container damage and for which line we can directly go to MECRC.

  2. CMA CGM offers a premium service, it’s the good choice for a customer oriented package of services. Customer is in the center of the serfice production. that’s why the price is higher than Maersk and MSC. Maersk and MSC are a better choice for price sensitivity within customer behavior.

  3. Hello,
It’s the first time here and I’m still new in this business (1 year and half). With my short experience, I can say that if I look for good prices Maersk/MSC can be the best but Maersk in the services/information given to the client in import/export is very poor and I only see them giving importance to the website and the rest don’t to give any importance.
    Just my op.

  4. Dear Mr. Hariesh

in my opinion, 2 best lines Maersk and msc , Maersk in Europe , and msc in Mediterranean sea , but msc has long transit time in some of ports , Maersk can help me quickly and make booking quickly in any time ,

we choose the line according to shipper suggestion or freight rates or transit time
some clients want to ship their cargo in less transit time , some else focus on freight rates , else want specific line
reefer container needs less transit time as we can to guarantee shelf life of goods

I think best line who can match between best freight rates and less transit time and have best documentation team

also no line has vessel in all rotation in all over the world

so there is many factors that we choose line to deal with him

    Thanks

    Hassan

  5. Hi Manaadiar,
    Good morning.
Its indeed a good article to choose shipping line.
While talking about service of various shipping lines, I can share my experience with you.
Regarding service quality I have bad experience with Cosco, Zim & Evergreen… Their post sales service at disport is not good while sharing information, status of shipment, failure of service commitment etc. Sometimes they have charged unnecessarily at disport resulting our bad relationship with customer. We have lost some orders.
